Nuance unveils “Gourmetto” at Zurich airport

SWITZERLAND. The Nuance Group today officially opened its latest fine food concept “Gourmetto by Nuance” in the newly-created landside shopping centre at Zurich airport’s train terminal. The shop targets food enthusiasts and offers a wide range of fine food, especially from the Mediterranean, along with a select choice of tea, wine and cigars out of the humidor.

Nuance operates eight duty free stores at Zurich, but this new outlet is the first landside store to target travellers, employees and visitors.

Gourmetto (pictured) is a 235sq m (2,529 sq ft) store with a particular focus on Greek and Mediterranean specialities such as stuffed vine leaves, olive oils and marinated feta cheese. The range extends to 100 wines, 50 kinds of vinegar and a selection of tea, spirits and cigars. The Olive Shop, a shop-in-shop features 70 types of olive oil and olives.

Nuance managing director Europe South Carlo Bernasconi said: “Moving landside allows us to cater for an even larger customer group in the domestic market. We are therefore very pleased to complement our existing operations at Zurich.”
