Nuance unveils plans to bring top luxury brands to Las Vegas

US. The Nuance Group/Las Vegas is introducing a range of luxury brands to its revamped duty free and travel retail offer at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport’s long-awaited new Terminal 3, which opens on 27 June.

Each of the brands will be making its debut at McCarran and all feature full-service, shop-in-shop boutiques. The line-up includes:

Salvatore Ferragamo: The Italian luxury brand will feature a wide range of items for men and women.

Longchamp: The French house will offer a strong line-up of handbags, travel bags, and small leathergoods.

Montblanc: Famous for its classic writing instruments, the company will also offer watches, leathergoods and jewellery accessories.

Gucci: Nuance’s collection will feature men’s and ladies watches and jewellery (18k yellow, rose, white gold and sterling silver)

Tous: The fast-growing Spanish brand, known for its iconic teddy bear symbol, has a strong international following, resonating especially with the Mexican passenger.

Longines: The Swatch Group-owned brand, which celebrates its 180th anniversary in 2012, will enhance the fine watch offer.

The Nuance Group North America Vice President Buying and Operations Andy Rattner told The Moodie Report: “We are excited to be able to offer these brands and many more to McCarran which will definitely elevate the duty free retail experience.”

Terminal 3 is a US$2.4 billion project, featuring a 1.9 million sq ft, three-storey building. It is opening in three phases, beginning with international traffic on 27 June.

T3 includes a significant increase in international gates and a major uplift in retail and food & beverage facilities. The Moodie Report is tracking the development of Nuance’s ambitious T3 offer in coming weeks, culminating with exclusive on location coverage from the Grand Opening.

Nuance, the long-term incumbent, was awarded a new 15-year concession at McCarran in November 2010. The contract features 11,085sq ft (1,030sq m) of retail space in T3, highlighted by the new main international store which, at over 10,403sq ft (966sq m), is one of the largest duty free stores in the US.
