INTERNATIONAL. The Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has revealed that 65 exhibitors will be making their debut, or returning after a short absence, at travel retail’s showpiece event: the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, taking place in Cannes 29 September – 4 October.
These new exhibitors include Shanghai Tang, Havaianas, Korea Ginseng Corporation, La Colline, Ren Clean Skincare, RHA, Zino Davidoff, Champagne Lanson and Hunter Laing.

Other brands making their first appearance include Cloetta, Juul and Viña Concha y Toro, who will be among those exhibiting quayside in the Harbour Village.
TFWA also announced that the TFWA Innovation Lab, sponsored by Alibaba’s Fliggy, will host 28 companies showcasing their latest ideas and products. These include Ion8, Yanu, Inflyter, Blynk, Concourse, JCDecaux, SKYdeals, Airfree, Cartier, Diageo and Breo.

The TFWA Innovation Lab will run from Tuesday 1 October to midday Friday 4 October in a special tented area facing the Majestic Beach. There will be a press breakfast at 9am (sponsored by Ren Clean Skincare), at which exhibitors will have the opportunity to interact with the media. The Innovation Lab sponsors include Munich Airport (Airport Partner) and Shiseido (ONE2ONE Partner). BW Confidential, TRBusiness and DFNI/Frontier are Media Partners.
The opening of the Innovation Lab will be preceded by the Innovation in Action workshop, which will take place at 8am at the Majestic Hotel on 1 October. That event is sponsored by Cartier, Diageo, Ion8, Breo and NPD Travel Retail.
Looking forward to the Cannes event, TFWA President Alain Maingreaud said: “From the growth of digital technology to increasing demand for more sustainable practices, the duty free and travel retail industry is undergoing a number of significant changes that will greatly impact our business in the coming years.
“Exhibitors joining us at the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference and TFWA Innovation Lab will offer a window into the trends, tools and services that will enable all industry stakeholders to prepare for this transformation and help them better serve the future needs of the international traveller.”
