INTERNATIONAL. The Moodie Report today announced the launch of an exciting new addition to its publishing portfolio – a Digital Books operation.
The new business unit will focus on producing high-quality, value-priced books to celebrate events in the airport and travel retail sector, including terminal and store openings, corporate anniversaries and events, and product launches.
The Moodie Report Digital Books is a joint venture with Oratia Media, based in Auckland, New Zealand.
Oratia Media is the publishing and media services business of Peter Dowling, The Moodie Report’s Special Correspondent for Latin America and Asia Pacific. In addition to his international experience as a writer and commentator, with expertise in the brand, retail and aviation sectors, he has extensive book industry experience to a senior management level.
The Moodie Report Founder Martin Moodie and Peter Dowling will be Co-Publishers of the Digital Books unit.
Martin Moodie said: “Since our launch in 2002 we have always tried to be an innovator at the forefront of technological and publishing developments. The accelerated advance of digital publishing has thrown up a significant opportunity to produce high-class, reasonably-priced books for companies and organisations in this industry. Such publications can range from short-run photographic celebrations of a big brand launch party, to a full corporate history with top-end printing and binding.
