Premium travel and lifestyle accessories brand Tumi is set to unveil two new collections designed exclusively for DFS Hainan and DFS Macau.
The limited-edition collections include Tumi’s Alpha Bravo Kingsville Deluxe Brief Pack, Just In Case Travel Duffel and Alpha 2 International Expandable 4 Wheeled Carry-On. Both sets are offered in Baltic blue with an orange trim and lining.
“Each piece has been created to ensure that Tumi’s trademark superior quality, functionality and design excellence are present every step of the way,” the brand stated.
The Hainan-inspired collection, available at DFS Hainan this month, features a luggage tag with a bespoke design depicting the palm trees and lounge chairs that line Hainan Island’s Yalong Bay. This graphic is replicated on the Just In Case Travel Duffel.
The DFS Macau collection, with luggage tag depicting both the past and present icons of Macau, will also be available exclusively at DFS Macau from February 2015. The design features the Ruins of St Paul’s – a regional landmark and UNESCO World Heritage site – along with two coloured casino chips, in recognition of Macau’s rising status as a top gaming and entertainment hub. Each chip features the lucky numbers 8 and 88. The Just In Case Travel Duffel includes the same graphics.

The Alpha Bravo Kingsville Deluxe Brief Pack is a versatile multi-purpose bag which can be used as an office brief, gym or travel bag. Features include a main compartment, multiple organiser pockets and dedicated front and side zip pockets and laptop or iPad compartments, along with an exterior waterproof pocket to store water bottles or umbrellas away from electronic equipment. The bag is made with Tumi’s FXT ballistic nylon with a top carry handle and adjustable strap.
The lightweight Just In Case Travel Duffel is suitable for use as an everyday tote or travel bag with a large zip top compartment that can be folded flat and packed away in a travel case.
The Alpha 2 International Expandable 4 Wheeled Carry-On features 30 design innovations and 14 patented and trademarked Tumi components creating a case that is lighter and stronger with increased capacity, smarter functionality and easier maneuverability, the brand said.
Tumi attributes the enlarged capacity of the Alpha 2 to a specially created Lever Lock expansion system that opens to create two levels of expansion for additional items. Multiple interior pockets and a large, U- shaped exterior pocket create additional space for travel documents, books or last-minute purchases; these features are combined with 360-degree swivel wheels, which are recessed into the body of the case to provide increased packing room.
