Zurich Airport passenger traffic outpaces commercial turnover growth in first 11 months

SWITZERLAND. Zurich Airport retail and dining turnover reached CHF578.4 million (US$723.7 million) in the first 11 months of 2025, up by +0.6% compared to the same period last year. Airside sales climbed +3.3% but landside sales fell -3%.

The figures were outpaced by passenger traffic growth of +4.2% year-on-year to 30 million in the period to 30 November.

Airside spend per departing passenger in the period fell -0.9% year-on-year to CHF22.80 (US$28.53).

In November alone, commercial turnover grew by +4.2% to CHF47.8 million (US$ million) while average spend climbed +0.4% year-on-year in the month to CHF23 (US$28.78).

The commercial numbers lagged passenger traffic growth of +6.7% in the month, with volumes reaching 3.16 million.
