Bulgaria to call duty free bid?

BULGARIA. The Bulgarian Finance Ministry will call a tender to select companies to run the country’s duty free shops located at airports, sea and river ports by the end of the year, according to local reports.

The news follows the Ministry’s announcement that it is to close the country’s border shops for allegedly fuelling the black economy.

The new tender was initially scheduled to take place this month but was deferred after the Finance Minister Milen Velchev announced the border shop closures.
