Hudson extends Des Moines International Airport retail presence with new eight-year contract
The long-term contract will see Hudson introduce its River & Grand concept as part of the airport’s new terminal development in 2027.
The newly-awarded concession represents a vital expansion of the Avolta duty-free footprint in India beyond the company’s presence at Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru.
Bristol Airport is seeking partners capable of delivering standout concepts that meet the needs of both leisure and business travellers. The new units will be located airside, offering operators high-visibility spaces with strong passenger footfall.
The concession comprises a 75sq m unit located on Level 6 of the Departures West Hall in Terminal 1.
The opportunities include a 199sq m store in Terminal 1, 133sq m in T2, 101sq m in T3 and 130sq m in T4, with a bid deadline of 21 September.
This marks the retailer’s second concession in the Zhuhai-Macau corridor this year, following Hengqin, and complements its existing Qingmao Port departures duty-free store, which opened in July last year.
The 45sq m arrivals store complements the departures duty-free store managed by the same retailer.
The agreement, which will span the expansion and development of new terminals, builds on a 30-year-plus partnership with Aruba Airport Authority.
“We are seeking partners who respect the stories behind the products, champion New Zealand creators and makers, and place the customer at the centre of their decisions.” So says Auckland Airport as it issues an RFP for a category long integral to the shopping offer.

The award complements the retailer’s existing departures operation, creating an integrated retail offering for cruise passengers at one of China’s leading cruise hubs.
The opportunities include a boutique restaurant with a supporting kitchen in Terminal 1’s Departures East Hall and a coffee shop with a dedicated support facility in the Midfield Concourse.
The opportunities span concession packages covering food & beverage, retail and duty free across 3,453sq m of commercial space.
