UK. Bristol Airport today unveiled a public tender embracing ten new food & beverage units in the west country gateway’s departure lounge.
The lounge is being extended as part a £400 million (US$538 million) terminal transformation that will raise annual passenger capacity to 12 million.
The opportunity includes quick serve/fast food, grab & go, coffee, bread, premium bar categories plus what it described as an exciting secret speakeasy bar.
Bristol Airport is seeking partners capable of delivering standout concepts that meet the needs of both leisure and business travellers. The new units will be located airside, offering operators high-visibility spaces with strong passenger footfall.
The tender involves a two-stage process. Interested partners should submit stage 1 requirements through the airport’s In-Tend e-tendering system by midday on Tuesday 1 September – Welcome to Bristol Airport Supplier Portal – Home
Bristol Airport Head of Retail Kate Gwyther said: “We look forward to receiving proposals from passionate and innovative businesses ready to bring fresh culinary concepts and dynamic hospitality experiences as part of terminal transformation.
“With 10.8 million customers a year passing through our doors this is a great opportunity to become part of the airport’s vibrant departure lounge, and we are keen to hear from businesses who can offer customers something special.”

The latest tender is one of a flurry of commercial opportunities at Bristol Airport. Earlier F&B (three x casual dining and 1 x main bar) and Travel Essentials (CTN, tech and books) bid results will be announced in coming months.
Bristol Airport is England’s third-largest regional gateway, serving the Southwest of England and South Wales. More than 10.8 million passengers passed through the terminal over the past 12 months, drawn by the airport’s links to over 120 destinations across 34 countries. ✈
