US. A Hollywood, Florida-based marketing programme is putting together travellers with brands and duty free retailers in a ground-breaking project. The Caribbean Escapes Collection is a new “˜by invitation only’ marketing programme featuring 100 leading resorts in 25 Caribbean destinations.
The company offers opportunities for retailers to promote themselves to high-end Caribbean travellers. The properties in the Collection consist of award-winning five-star resorts. Members include resorts affiliated with Relais & Chateaux, Preferred Hotels and Resorts, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and The Leading Hotels of the World. Properties such as Sandy Lane, Half Moon, The Reefs, Raffles at Canouan, The Buccaneer, Four Seasons Exuma, Round Hill, Elbow Beach, Cap Juluca, Paradisius Playa Conchal, Hotel St. Barth’s Isle de France, and others.
Duty free shops, luxury brands, restaurants and tourist attractions in the Caribbean are to be included in a coffee table style publication entitled Caribbean Escapes, with an initial readership of two million distributed through holiday resorts and bookstores.
The marketing firm Madigan Pratt and Associates provided research for the project. “There are few products that attract such a high concentration of the world’s wealthiest individuals as luxury Caribbean resorts,” said Madigan Pratt, company president.
