Colombia air traffic down -8.8%

COLOMBIA. Colombia’s air passenger traffic decreased by -8.8% year-on-year, equal to 63,278 people, in January 2004, the country’s aviation regulator Aeronautica Civil said this week. International air passenger traffic was up +2.8%.

In January, the main destinations of passengers from Colombia were the United States with 43% of the total, South America 23.9%, Central America 16.7%, Europe 12.4% and the Caribbean region 3.4%.

The flights with highest number of passengers were Bogota-Miami, Bogota-Caracas, Medellin-Miami, Cali-Miami, Bogota-Madrid, Bogota-Quito and Bogota-Panama.
