SWITZERLAND. P&G Beauty and fashion designer Helmut Lang have terminated their fragrance licensing agreement, which was signed in 1999. The latest fragrance to be born of the association was Cuiron pour Homme, which was launched in 2002. Both P&G Beauty and Helmut Lang declined to comment.
According to Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), Lang is now “reviewing options” with regard to his beauty portfolio. In the meantime, the products will continue to be retailed at Lang boutiques and the New York Lang perfumery.
In other news, WWD reports that P&G Beauty and the L’Oréal group are reportedly squaring up to each other over the Dolce & Gabbana beauty license. The license has been held by Italian company Euroitalia for over ten years. It is thought to be up for renewal in 2006. All the parties concerned declined to comment.
