BELGIUM. Fashion and accessories house Kipling has been acquired by VF Corporation, one of the largest US apparel companies which holds brands such as Eastpak, JanSport, The North Face, Lee Jeans and Wrangler Jeans.
Effectively immediately, Kipling forms part of the VF Europe – Outdoor division, headquartered in Bornem, Belgium.

In a statement the company said that as a result of a close cooperation between VF Europe and the former independent owners, “we can guarantee a smooth transition with as little as possible impact on our customers and consumers”.
Jim Thomsen, will be heading the Kipling division, with prime focus on sales, marketing and product development activities. Patrick Willems will act as the contact person for Finance and Operations.
“Kipling has been very successful and it is our intention to continue the current sales and marketing strategies,” said the company. “Prices, conditions and distribution remain unchanged. Sales, marketing and advertising for Kipling, Eastpak, JanSport and any other VF brands will remain separate.”
Your normal sales contacts through Richard Macey, Commercial Director, and his team remain unchanged.
Placing orders, following up deliveries or questions on invoices can continue through the existing Kipling offices, people and phone numbers.
