New World Duty Free staff uniform helps to make duty free of monotony – 09/06/05

WDF believes not only in the importance of the look of the store, but also the image and identity of the staff

UK. World Duty Free (WDF) has introduced a new staff uniform across its 66 UK stores from the beginning of this month.

WDF believes not only in the importance of the look of the store, but also the image and identity of the staff. World Duty Free Managing Director Mark Riches commented: “The comfort and identity of our staff is very important. Without them we would not be running such a successful business.”

Extensive research was carried out to help designers Jermyn Street Design create a uniform that would not only look good but be as versatile as the 1,500 WDF store staff.

Riches said: “All members of our staff represent WDF and we have”¦ taken on board all comments from our staff and produced a modern and fashionable look that fits into our dynamic and ever changing business.”

Several variations have been developed; ladies’ and men’s suit jackets, shirts and blouses, ladies modern tunics and cardigans, men’s sweaters, polo shirts and a smart and effective layered collection for replenishment staff.
