Freia’s centenary is supported by a POS with a display at the shop entrance, product tasting with a Freia hostess, birthday decoration banners, a promotion table and rotairs |
NORWAY. Freia Melkesjokolade (milk chocolate) is celebrating its 100th birthday this year with a tailored travel retail promotion. The brand has been a market leader in Norway since it was introduced by its founder Johan Throne-Holst in 1906.
Brand owner Kraft Foods of Switzerland is celebrating Freia’s centenary at its home airport of Oslo Gardermoen with a promotion in Gebr Heinemann’s Departures shop from August to October 2006.
The celebration is supported by a POS with a display at the shop entrance, product tasting with a Freia hostess, birthday decoration banners, a promotion table and rotairs. The promotion is also featured in Gebr Heinemann’s special offer leaflets. A multi-buy promotion is running on all 250g tablet flavours (buy three get one free).
In addition to the Freia promotion at Oslo Gardermoen, two new Freia gondolas have been installed this year, highlighting the Freia branding and boosting brand recognition. Huge, three-dimensional Freia tablets have also been installed to the side of the displays.
