The new Emporio Armani store in Suvarnabhumi Airport covers 90sq m |
ITALY. Italian designer Giorgio Armani has opened an Emporio Armani store in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport – the latest location in the Armani Group’s fast-track travel retail expansion programme.
Described as “much more than a fashion boutique”, the 90sq m store design embodies Giorgio Armani’s vision of the modern, casual lifestyle.
The outlet offers the complete Emporio Armani lifestyle collection for men and women, including formal and casualwear, sportswear, leather accessories, watches, eyewear and jewellery.
Giorgio Armani, together with in-house architects, designed the store following the image of the recently opened stores in London’s Knightsbridge district.
The flooring is made of black glossy ceramic while the ceiling features stainless steel panels with recessed lights. One large screen projecting collections dominates the entrance.
The accessories areas, which feature black mirrored walls, are located on both sides of the entrance. The external façade in black glass features two big back-lit images.
Six free-standing Emporio Armani stores have opened in the last three years at Rome Fiumicino Airport, Zurich Airport, London Heathrow T3, DFS Galleria at Guam, Tokyo Narita T1 and Buenos Aires Ezeiza Airport.
