Art & Fragrance pays homage to Marlene Dietrich; aims to seduce with Jaguar – 01/11/07

My Passion is one of the three fragrances in the Parfums Grès Collection – Hommage à Marlene DietrichSWITZERLAND. Art & Fragrance celebrated two key product launches at TFWA World Exhibition for its Parfums Grès and Jaguar Fragrances houses.

The first major launch was the Parfums Grès Collection – Hommage à Marlene Dietrich, which pays homage to the actress and singer Marlene Dietrich. The three new perfumes are said to aromatically reflect three facets of the star: My Dream, My Life, My Passion.

Parfums Grès said it decided to create the Parfums Grès Collection because Madame Grès was an important fashion designer who launched the legendary fragrance Cabochard in 1959 and because so many stars were her clients, including Marlene Dietrich and Jackie Onassis.

My Dream – Hommage à Marlene Dietrich is described as classic floral perfume in the great tradition of Parisian haute parfumerie. The exhilarating head note is permeated by Italian mandarine orange accompanied by the fruity aromas of pineapple, melon, black currants and apple, with a spicy hint of cloves. In the heart note are Casablanca lilies contrasting with the delicacy of lilies of the valley, roses and violets. Both melt into the heady scent of orange blossoms and heliotrope. The base note features woody notes such as sandalwood, finely enhanced by iris, vanilla, ambra and musk.

My Life – Hommage à Marlene Dietrich is a chypre perfume that reflects the self-confident side of Marlene Dietrich. The head note is fresh from the essences of orange blossoms, wisteria and pink grapefruit. Warm, sensuous rum extract blends into the heart note with Sambac jasmine, heliotrope and cedar wood. The base note reveals the touch of the orient, with seductive woody aromas such as patchouli, sandalwood and vetiver, as well as resins like labdanum and benzoin.

My Passion – Hommage à Marlene Dietrich is a sensuous perfume with a head note of apple, cinnamon and lilies of the valley. The floral heart note is filled with orange blossoms and salicylate. Warmth and passion is displayed with rich portions of ambra, vanilla and musk unfold in the base note.

The three fragrances come in exactly the same shape bottle, each made of heavy, top quality glass and packed in a white folding box embossed with gold.

The cap is decorated with a gold ribbon and a seal. The colour of the seal corresponds to the colour representing each fragrance’s name: pink for My Dream, blue for My Life and violet for My Passion.

The three fragrances will be offered as edps in 60ml bottles from Spring 2008 in selected perfumeries retailing at €59.00 each.
Discerning: Jaguar Prestige is inspired by the new Jaguar XF Saloon car
Jaguar Prestige men’s fragrance

Jaguar Fragrances presented the most distinguished fragrance in its product range, Jaguar Prestige, which will be launched simultaneously with the latest Jaguar XF Saloon car. It is designed to appeal to self-confident, discerning men who are only interested in the best quality, said the house.

Jaguar Prestige is a woody, harmonious composition with a distinctive character. In contrast to most men’s fragrances, it is a complex and rich scent, according to the firm.

The head notes are Sicilian lemon, Italian mandarin orange and bergamot, rounded off with frozen pear. At the heart is a spicy sensation released through black and pink pepper, cardamom, nutmeg and an accord of birch leaves, lavender, coriander and tropical Elemi resin. A cocktail of olibanum, sandalwood and Virginia cedarwood, enriched with vetiver from Madagascar and the balsamic resin of the Mediterranean cistus make the base note. The juice, composed by the renowned French perfume specialist Dominique Preyssas, is rounded out with a hint of musk and patchouli.

The glass bottle has an elegant chrome casing and refined details, inspired by the design of the latest Jaguar car. The shoulders incorporate the same structural pattern as the radiator grill. The heavy cap resembles the knob of the gearshift and is decorated with the legendary symbol of the leaping big cat.

The chrome label is said to stretch over the bottle like the bonnet spans the new XF motor.

Jaguar Prestige joins the existing masculine fragrances Jaguar Classic and Jaguar Performance from Spring, 2008 in selected perfumeries.

The new fragrance comes as a 50ml edt natural spray priced at €47 and 100ml retailing at €75.
