SRI LANKA. The Alpha Asia Heroes final awards ceremony was held on 8 March at the Oak Room of the Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Sri Lanka.
Alpha Asia Heroes is an employee incentive and awards scheme aimed at providing reward and recognition to staff who display “˜consistently outstanding performance’ across the Sri Lankan business arm of Alpha Orient Lanka Limited (AOLL).
AOLL, the regional headquarters of Alpha Asia, employs a total of 400 personnel who between them received in excess of 850 nominations through the scheme.
The winner of the main award – Overall Asia Hero – was Key Accounts Manager Patrick Gregory.
The Airport Manager award, sponspored by The Moodie Report, went to Pradeep Wanasinghe.
More than 30 organisations from the world of travel retail supported the scheme, with Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Estée Lauder and Kraft all present at the Asia Heroes ceremony to present awards and offer further support.
Alpha Asia Managing Director Paul Topping said: “To me, my team are all heroes. The fantastic results that are produced year on year clearly endorse the passion and the loyalty in each and every employee at AOLL.”
