UK. Scorpio Distributors has announced the appointment of Thomson Airways Head of Inflight Operations, Retail and Development Ian Cowie to its Executive Management Team.
The appointment of the well-regarded Cowie underlines Scorpio’s ambition to develop its business both in the UK and internationally.
Scorpio said: “Ian is very well respected within the travel retail Industry and will be joining Scorpio at a senior level looking after operations and further business opportunities and synergies with our partners Gebr Heinemann.”
Before joining Thomson Airways, Cowie worked with World Duty Free and supermarket group Tesco in the UK.
Full details of his role will be released later in the year, along with a finalised start date.
