SINGAPORE. Giordano Originals and Lianbee-Jeco Pte Ltd have been awarded the two mid-price fashion concessions tendered recently by Changi Airport Group at Terminal 2’s Departure/Transit Lounge North.
Giordano Originals is offering its Giordano brand of accessibly priced clothing for its 97.5sq m store while Lianbee-Jeco won with Braun Buffel and will operate a 54.4sq m outlet.
The contracts run for three years from 7 November 2009 or upon the date of handover, whichever is later.
Nine companies bid for the concessions, including Chomel, Cotton on Singapore, DFS Venture Singapore (with Le Sportsac), Eternal Lush (Cello), Lagardère Services Asia Pacific (Billabong), and RSH Singapore (Lacoste).
Bid levels were not revealed.
As reported, Changi Airport Group has also awarded a speciality shop concession at Terminal 1 to King Power International (Hong Kong), ahead of rival bidder Giordano.
Additionally, at T2, it awarded King Power two concessions – for Harrods and La Perla – and one contract to Chomel (for Madame Butterfly). There were seven bids.
