VIOlight toothbrush sanitizer – Zapi-doodle and Zapi-POP
With kids heading back to school and cold and flu season just around the corner, many people are worried about protecting their health and the health of their loved ones, Dufri said. The recent news surrounding the spread of the H1N1 swine flu virus is also an added concern.
The new Zapi-doodle and Zapi-POP for kids, which uses VIOlight technology, has been tested and proven to be effective in the virtual elimination of the H1N1 virus from toothbrush bristles, claims Dufri.

An independent laboratory test has identified VIOlight’s ultraviolet (UV) germicidal light as the “active ingredient”, or defense, in killing 99.99% of the swine flu virus. The swine flu virus application consisted of 0.2mL of a stock virus of thc flu spiked onto the toothbrush bristles.
After a mere six minutes of submersion in the VIOlight device, the toothbrush(es) were practically free of the virus, Dufri said.
The company added that VIOlight’s germicidal UV technology has also proven to safely kill up to 99.99% percent of germs and bacteria on toothbrushes including E. coli, staph, and salmonella.
VIOlight products is said to offer the same sanitizing power consumers expect at the dentist’s office with contemporary designs that look at home in any bathroom. After brushing, you simply place the toothbrush in the VIOlight unit and the UV technology goes to work.

Sony Walkman Video MP3 players
Also new from Dufri is a compact Walkman that features two high-quality stereo speakers guarded by a tough, stylish aluminium speaker grille.
Listening on speakers is enhanced by Digital Linear Phase Speaker System technologies unique to Sony, Dufri said. Linear Phase Correction assures smooth, natural frequency responses, while Virtual Bass enhances harmonic signals to reinforce the sensation of deep low-end frequencies.
For users who want to keep their music private, listening on supplied headphones is enhanced with Clear Audio technologies from Sony for a detail-packed soundstage. Clear Stereo reduces leakage between left and right channels, while Clear Bass is said to deliver powerful, controlled low-end frequencies without distortion.

There’s a five-band equaliser as well as a Dynamic Normalizer that balances volume levels between songs to ensure a comfortable listening experience.
The player’s front panel features a 2.4-inch LCD screen. Offering high resolution and contrast for detail-packed images, the screen is ideal for enjoying podcasts, downloads from online movie stores and video clips from sharing sites, where compatible. The screen’s quick response time allows smooth, clear video playback at up to 30 frames per second.
Flip the player on its side to view videos in landscape format, complete with a rich soundtrack from the in-built speakers. Plus there’s a handy stand accessory supplied for comfortable “˜hands-free’ table-top viewing.
A range of major music and video formats are supported including rights-managed WMA and WMV. Importing music, video and photos is quick and fuss-free, with simple drag-and-drop from your PC’s media folder or via iTunes 8.1 using Content Transfer. MPEG1 and certain WMV files can also be played back on the Walkman when converted via Content Transfer. The included Content Transfer Software is available to install from the memory of the Walkman.
Listening options are boosted by the on-board FM radio. There’s an on-board voice recorder suitable for capturing interviews or recording broadcasts from the FM tuner for later listening.
The Walkman S540 provides up to 42 hours listening time on headphones from a single charge, and up to 17 hours through the built-in speakers. Battery life with video playback is 6.5 hours.
