INTERNATIONAL. The 2009 Luxury Briefing Conference will focus on the new luxury environment amid challenging times. The annual event, aimed at the luxury goods industry, will be held at the RIBA Building in London, UK on 19 November.
This year’s speaker line-up includes Strategy Luxury Adviser Dr Concetta Lanciaux, a former adviser to LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault, who will discuss “The new era of luxury… or is it?”; Monocle magazine Editor-in-Chief Tyler Brûlé, who will tackle “Four-dimensional luxury – giving new depth to your brand”; Sue Siddall and Paul Bennett, Managing Director and Chief Creative Officer respectively of IDEO, who will speak on “Luxury and innovation”; and The Future Laboratory founders Chris Sanderson and Martin Raymond, on who will flourish in the new luxury environment, and why.
Two subjects close to the hearts of the travel retail industry will also be discussed: the subject of retail entertainment will be taken up by Bokks General Manager Carsten Thode, while Wired magazine Editor David Rowan will shed light on what luxury could be doing in the digital world.
This year’s conference format features break-out group sessions on “Connecting with the luxury customer in 2010”, which will be chaired by editors and senior staff from leading magazines, including Luxury Briefing, the Financial Times, The Times and Condé Nast Traveller.
The event is sponsored by luxury gift service Bokks London.
