CUBA. Habanos s.a. has introduced a replica of an ancient Montecristo humidor in a limited-edition production run of 350 cases worldwide. The humidor contains 50 Montecristo Double Coronas (girth 49mm and 194mm in length).
The new humidors are manufactured completely by hand from cedar and mahogany by the renowned Cuban goldsmith Ernesto Aguilera, who was also the artisan responsible for the Partagás, H. Upmann and Romeo y Julieta replicas that were commercialised by Habanos s.a. in 2006, 2007 and 2008 respectively.
Over the years Aguilera has made some unique masterpieces auctioned at past editions of the Habanos Festival.
The new humidors were introduced at Las Casas del Habano worldwide in the last trimester of 2009.
Montecristo is the best known brand of Habanos worldwide. The balanced blend is created exclusively with selected leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region.
Its distinctive medium to full flavour and distinguished aroma appeal equally to both new and experienced smokers, according to Habanos.
