MCM debuts stand-alone boutique at Seoul Incheon Airport

MCM’s new 66.6sq m store at Seoul Incheon Airport is situated next to the Chanel store

SOUTH KOREA. Luxury leathergoods company MCM has opened its first stand-alone airport boutique in South Korea, at Seoul Incheon Airport.

The 66.6sq m store, which opened on 8 April, is run by Korea Tourism Organization. It is situated next to the Chanel store at the entrance to Gates 29-41.

The boutique stocks a wide range of MCM small and large leathergoods for women and men as well as ready-to-wear items.

Before the boutique opening MCM’s previous presence at Incheon had been via personalised corners – some of which will continue to operate.

“The new boutique gives the brand far greater visibility and image in keeping with its luxury status. Initial response has been excellent with high customer penetration and encouraging sales on the first day of opening,” said the company.
