INTERNATIONAL. Future Luxe is the theme of the 2011 Luxury Briefing Conference, which takes place in London on 20/21 January. Billed as the luxury industry event of the year, the 2011 edition sets out to offer a feast of ideas, inspiration, networking and fun, the organisers said.

The line-up of speakers – who will focus on how the luxury business will work in the future – includes Marc Worth, founder of fashion trend website WGSN and the recently launched Stylus creative design website.

This year the event features a Champagne reception, tastings, dinner, speakers, music and magic at Claridge’s, followed by the Luxury Briefing after-party.

Thought-provoking topics include:

How does club entrepreneur Nick Jones continue to get it right when it comes to attracting luxury customers?

Taking control of your future: just how do you do that? asks John Kearon, dubbed ‘the Steve Jobs of market research’

Matt Webb, creator of the Mag+ digital magazine publishing platform for the iPad, asks: what are the lessons for luxury?

Are online “tastemakers” like Suzanne Aaronson more influential than traditional media?

The conference covers two half-days, on 20 and 21 January, in Central London.
