HONG KONG. Hong Kong’s Regal Airport Hotel has expressed delight at being named the “˜Best Airport Hotel – Worldwide’ and “˜Best Airport Hotel – Asia’ at this year’s Skytrax World Airport Awards.
As reported, Hong Kong International Airport took the lead in winning three awards: “˜Airport of the Year’, “˜Best Airport – Asia’ and “˜Best Airport Dining’.
The World Airport Awards are based on survey results from 11.4 million questionnaires completed by airline passengers of over a hundred different nationalities in 2010/11, covering more than 240 airports worldwide.
The survey evaluates traveller experiences across 39 different airport categories – from check-in, arrivals and transfer through to departure at the gate. Over 860,000 hotel guests participated.
Regal Airport Hotel Meeting & Conference Centre is the only hotel connected directly to the passenger terminal of Hong Kong International Airport by an enclosed, air-conditioned link bridge. It is 23 minutes from Hong Kong Central and one minute from the adjacent AsiaWorld-Expo Convention Centre via the Airport Express Line, while the nearby Hong Kong Disneyland is within easy access by hotel limousine and public transportation.
