Procter & Gamble (P&G) Prestige has paid tribute to its innovative Gucci travel retail promotion, being held at Istanbul Atatürk Airport this month, in partnership with Gebr Heinemann.
As previously reported, each purchase of a Gucci fragrance (minimum spend €40) will entitle travellers to enter a raffle to win a Gucci Fiat 500. The car is on display in the airport from 1-31 July.
The special Gucci Fiat 500 is on display at the airport from 1-31 JulyAccording to P&G, the tailor-made initiative is an ideal way to showcase the Gucci fragrance portfolio, which it describes as the travel retail gateway to the Gucci world.
“Our partners Gebr Heinemann and ATÜ Duty Free also share Procter & Gamble Prestige’s passion for placing the shopper at the heart of their strategy, by surprising, entertaining and satisfying their gifting and travel shopping needs,” noted a company spokesman.
“This shared passion, supported by the Gucci fashion house, enhances the travel experience with this exciting proposition for the travel retail shopper, and is another example of the strong partnership between Procter & Gamble Prestige and Gebr Heinemann.”
The promotion targets international tourists, with a specific focus on Russian travellers, and also Turkish nationals. All communication materials have been developed in three languages: English, Turkish and Russian.
Istanbul Atatürk was chosen as the ideal location for this initiative, thanks to its numbers and mix. The airport currently serves more than 25 million passengers per year, with traffic up +2.8% in February, and up +3.7% for the first two months of 2012.
