CHINA. The Moodie Report China, travel retail’s dominant media and business intelligence service, has signed a key strategic agreement with Fortune Character, China’s leading research, information and media service on the country’s wealthiest consumers.

Under the terms of the agreement, both market-leading companies will support each other’s media, research and conference projects.
Excitingly, the two enterprises will produce a joint annual research study into the shopping habits of wealthy Chinese travellers, launching in 2013. Full details will follow soon.
The Moodie Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie will speak on the importance of Chinese travellers to international travel retailers at Fortune Character’s forthcoming Luxury in China Summit* (Shanghai, 8-9 November). Dr Zhou Ting, Dean of the Fortune Character Institute and Associate Professor of Beijing’s University of International Business and Economics, will address the 2013 Trinity Forum in Abu Dhabi (29-31 January) on the Chinese luxury consumer.
Fortune Character magazine has 343,000 subscribers every month, representing an astonishing 39% of all of China’s estimated 875,000 millionaires. It is also widely read by the Chinese wealthy abroad.
The company also publishes The China Luxury Report, based on face-to-face interviews with 3,200 Chinese “˜ultra-HNWIs (high net worth individuals).
