Excess Baggage Company will operate nine bag weighing machines and a bag wrapping facility at London Stansted Airport |
UK. Excess Baggage Company has secured a deal to operate nine bag weighing machines and a bag wrapping facility at London Stansted Airport.
The stand-alone machines offer detailed information on airline baggage restrictions, and calculate the excess baggage charges from the departure airport, as well as the charges for other elements of a connecting flight.
The new units can also be used to provide passengers with additional information on other services available at the airport (such as bag shipping), or other retail offers available at the terminal.
“Stansted has been named by SkyTrax as the World’s Best Airport for low-cost airlines for two years running. It has achieved such a high reputation among travellers by providing the very best services, and ensuring that the traveller’s experience at the airport is as easy and stress-free as possible. We are confident that these new facilities will do even more to help the passenger flying from this busy airport,” said Excess Baggage Company.
Stansted Airport Head of In-Terminal Commercial Zoe Farmer said: “Stansted Airport is delighted to welcome Excess Baggage Company and their new range of luggage wrapping and weighing services. We are certain that the millions of passengers travelling through the airport every year will find these new facilities incredibly useful. We’d like to wish them every success with their new services here.”
