Blackjack Promotions has been helping drive the Year of the Snake celebrations at World Duty Free (WDF) stores in London Heathrow Terminals 3, 4 and 5.
Highlighting promotions for Lancôme and Giorgio Armani, trained Blackjack translators and ambassadors were present at the WDF stores offering Chinese passengers special offers on selected products.
Mandarin-speaking staff, wearing red ties or red scarves, handed passengers red envelopes containing a Happy New Year message and special purchase offers when they made purchases in the stores.
Offers from Lancôme included best-sellers on the Chinese market with skincare products from the Absolue and Génifique ranges. Customers purchasing any fragrance from the Armani fragrance range were offered sample sizes of Code Luna or Essenza.
Blackjack also provided Mandarin speakers to assist on purchases of Estée Lauder and Guerlain products.
Blackjack Travel Retail Account Manager for Beauty Audrey Lemaurgue said: “This campaign is all about destination targeting. By providing language specialists we are helping to build on awareness for these brands.
“Both of course already have a considerable following in China, but by carrying out this type of activity we are letting Chinese brand fans know that they can enjoy their favourite skincare and fragrance products wherever they go. Plus of course this is a lovely way to help those that are away from home to still feel a part of the New Year spirit.”
The Chinese New Year campaign started on 29 January and ran until 11 February.
