Luxottica and DFS eye bright future for Oliver Peoples in travel retail

Luxottica Travel Retail has announced the travel retail launch of Oliver Peoples sunglasses, in partnership with DFS Group in Hong Kong at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and DFS Galleria Sun Plaza in Tsim Sha Tsui.

“Oliver Peoples wants to engage its target consumer wherever they are around the world and we feel the timing is perfect to introduce it to the travel retail market,” said Luxottica Group Travel Retail and Boutiques Director Francis Gros.

“In DFS, we have a partner with a fantastic track record for launching brands, particularly ones which have a distinct identity and market, like Oliver Peoples. DFS’s presence at HKIA also gives us the perfect platform to further showcase the brand to the Asian market – one of the most important in the world.

“Our strategy for additional travel retail doors will be selective and in line with the unique distribution that is part of the Oliver Peoples’ brand DNA,” he added.
