Clarins shows support for nature with eco-friendly eye palette

Clarins has unveiled a new Essentials Eye Palette, the creation of which reflects the brand’s commitment to responsible beauty. The palette contains ten eye shadows in tones of beige, taupe and brown, with a matte, satin or pearl finish. Formulated with minerals and a plant base formula, 93% of the raw materials used are of natural origin.

The aluminium in the packaging is recycled, and the wooden brush also meets sustainability criteria. The wedge within can be removed, allowing the palette to be re-used as a storage box.

Moreover, Clarins continues to show its support for biodiversity preservation in partnership with Pur Project, an association which aims to preserve ecosystems in partnership with disadvantaged communities.

Clarins aims to plant 10,000 trees with medical and cosmetic purposes, to help support the Kuntanawa people – an Amazonian culture that is under threat. Among these trees is the urucum, which produces a red pigment traditionally used for the community’s ritual make-up.
