Pernod Ricard introduces mini L’Or de Jean Martell to Asian travel retail

The miniature size and ornate design make it ideal for gifting and will encourage trial of L’Or de Jean Martell, Pernod Ricard believes

Pernod Ricard Travel Retail has launched a 200ml edition of L’Or de Jean Martell Cognac in Asian travel retail.

Designed to appeal to travellers looking for the “ultimate precious gift”, the hand-blown crystal decanter is crafted by French house Cristal de Sèvres and features gold etching. It is presented in a gift box designed by French interior architect and designer Eric Gizard.

With a recommended selling price of US$1,070, it will be available at Singapore Changi Airport, Hong Kong International Airport, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Macau International Airport, as well as airports throughout Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and China.

According to Martell, creation of the 200ml edition requires even greater finesse than its larger counterpart; it uses the same technical mastery but on a much more intricate scale.

Each bottle is decorated individually by master glassworkers and “subtly alludes to French classicism and precocity”, the brand said, while a fastening system ensures the carafe and its stopper are securely sealed.

L’Or de Jean Martell Cognac is made from a blend of more than 400 rare eaux-de-vie – including some aged for more than 100 years – and is said to offer a perfectly balanced blend of rich aromas and power.

Pernod Ricard Asia Travel Retail Marketing Manager for Martell Sandrine Tesniere commented: “The launch of this iconic bottle is bound to cause a stir in Asian travel retail as its miniature size will give travellers the opportunity to experience the ultimate Cognac.

“Its convenient size and ornate design make it ideal for gifting and so we’re confident that it will encourage trial of L’Or de Jean Martell.”
