The ‘Big Obama’ burger arrives at Brisbane Airport

AUSTRALIA. Brisbane Airport’s Windmill & Co restaurant is marking US President Barack Obama’s attendance at the G20 Leaders Summit in Brisbane this week with a gourmet burger.

Available exclusively for international travellers, the ‘Big Obama’ is a 27cm tall gourmet burger featuring two Angus beef patties, coleslaw, onion rings, three slices of Colby Jack Cheese, caramelised onions, spinach, tomato and dill pickled cucumbers topped with mustard on brioche bun. It is accompanied by a serving of battered Bad Boy Chips.

Windmill & Co Owner George Drivas drew inspiration from President Obama’s favourite food and flavours to create the ‘Big Obama’, available throughout November at Brisbane Airport

Windmill & Co owner George Drivas noted President Obama’s love of cheeseburgers, saying the burger was created by the restaurant’s resident chef as a “hats off welcome” to the US President.

“We drew inspiration from the President’s favourite food and flavours and added the fresh, local produce the First Lady would approve of to create what we think is the best burger in the free world,” he said.

The ‘Big Obama’ burger is available throughout November at Windmill & Co restaurant on Level 3 Departures of the International Terminal.
