SPAIN. Food & beverage operator Ãreas has completed its €25 million renovation of the dining offer at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport with the launch of Gastrohub.
The new outlet represents a €506,000 investment by the operator. It features a dining bar area as well as à la carte and set menu dining. The 826sq m space can serve more than 120 diners and is on the second floor of Terminal 4.
The Gastrohub menus, overseen by Michelin-starred chef Pano Roncero, include cod fritters, Madrid-style tripe, Russian salad and patatas bravas (spicy potatoes), chicken fricassee, Madrid-style stew and veal shank.

Ãreas won the €1.48 billion contract for the airport’s food & beverage offer in 2013. The dining precinct currently includes brands such as Kirei by Kabuki, Deli & Cia, Pepito Grillo, Espace Evian, La Mary, La Bellota Sabores Ibéricos, Paul, Starbucks, Urban Grill, MasQMenos, Burger King, World’s Food, 100 Montaditos, Espression Lavazza, Rodilla, Caffriccio, Carling, Mahoudrid and Sports Bar, both by Mahou, and Fly&Fishhh.
