Dallas Fort Worth releases update to iOS and Android mobile app

The DFW Airport Mobile App 3.1 release could free up more time for users to go shopping

USA. Dallas Fort Worth International has added weather information and news alerts – including discount offers – in an update to its mobile app.

The DFW Airport Mobile App 3.1 release is now live for iOS and Android, and the airport said many of the additions were based on user feedback.

A +33% increase in downloads has been reported since the first release of the app in November. The airport also recently launched an app for the Apple Watch, as well as an upgraded version of the mobile app that added six languages.

The 3.1 release updates users about possible weather situations that may affect travel. It will also send out an alert on other relevant news, such as parking discount offers.

Alerts are automatically received in the form of push notifications, and the airport said it was also possible to personalise the alerts by turning them on and off in the settings menu.

The flight dashboard has also been enhanced in the new release, offering parking information and updates on what to do at the airport when a flight is delayed or a gate change occurs, potentially freeing up more time for shopping.

The DFW Airport Mobile App has been developed in partnership with airport mobile app specialist M2mobi.
