SCOTLAND. Edinburgh Airport has this week played its part in a campaign to raise awareness of hidden disabilities – led by 11-year-old primary school pupil Grace Warnock.
On Monday, the Scottish capital city gateway welcomed young Grace for the official unveiling of her signposted toilet and bathroom facilities.

‘Grace’s Sign’, the name of the campaign, has been launched to urge people in public places to be considerate to those with hidden disabilities, including Grace’s condition Crohn’s Disease.
The initiative stemmed from Grace wanting those with an invisible disability or long-term health condition to be able to use accessible toilet facilities without fear of comments from others.
“I am really thrilled to see my sign here at Edinburgh Airport as so many people come here from all over the world,” said Grace.
“Grace’s Signs is one of the first or last things that people see when they arrive, or before they leave, Scotland – so hopefully that will help spread the word.”
Member of Scottish Parliament Iain Gray, who has been part of the campaign, added: “Helping to raise awareness about the use of accessible toilets by those with ‘invisible’ disabilities, the campaign has evidently struck a chord with many people.

“I am delighted that Edinburgh Airport has responded so positively to the campaign.”
