HONG KONG. Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has called a tender for a quick service restaurant in the Terminal 1 Check-In Hall. It is the latest in a series of food & beverage licences to come to market at the Asian hub.
Airport Authority Hong Kong described it as “a unique business opportunity for catering operators in this prestigious aviation hub in Asia”.
The unit measures a substantial 747sq m and is located on the mezzanine level of T1. The bid deadline is 11 January.
Separately, the airport company has called for offers for two coffee shop licences in T1, in 24sq m and 28sq m of space respectively. Both are located airside. Submissions are due by 19 December.
As previously reported, HKIA has also called tenders for six food & beverage licences at its T1 East Hall food court via The Moodie Davitt Report (see tender banner on our home page). The deadline for this tender is 30 November.
As reported last week, The Moodie Davitt Report is in Hong Kong for the unveiling of the new Duty Zero retail brand from China Duty Free Group and Lagardère Travel Retail. We’ll bring you the first images of the new store branding shortly.
