USA. Global restaurateur HMSHost has launched its Share Your Love campaign in nine US airports this Valentine’s Day season, giving its customers the opportunity to deliver “random acts of kindness”.
The campaign also provides a way for travellers to encourage staff and patients at children’s hospitals and introduces a signature Valentine’s Day-themed cocktail, along with a social media contest to inspire spreading joy outside airports.
Share Your Love’s goal is to deliver a thousand acts of kindness throughout airports over the course of the events.
Travellers are encouraged to pick an act of kindness card that informs them of their kindness mission, such as giving a rose to a fellow traveller or airport employee, providing a box of chocolates to a flight crew, or buying a coffee for the person behind them in a queue. HMSHost will provide the traveller with the necessary item.
Each airport event features an HMSHost Share Your Love message board that serves as a place for travellers to leave messages on cards for patients in children’s hospitals. Once the board is full, the notes will be given to specific children’s hospitals located in the campaign-hosting airport’s city.
HMSHost will offer travellers who write a card a premium dark chocolate bar and a Valentine’s Day card, including a 15% discount offer at participating HMSHost dining locations.
The Share Your Love airport events are being held at Charlotte Douglas International, Chicago O’Hare International, George Bush Intercontinental (Houston), Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International, Miami International, Nashville International, Orlando International, Palm Springs International, and San Francisco International.
Heart’s Desire, a cocktail featuring Baileys and Bulleit Bourbon, has been created by HMSHost especially for the Valentine’s Day season, and has debuted at selected airports.
Travellers not at one of the participating airports are still encouraged to share with HMSHost a random act of kindness on social media using #HMSHostLove for a chance to win a US$500 gift card.
