Coty is set to launch Davidoff Cool Water Intense in travel retail. The new fragrance for men and women will roll out in Europe on 3 June and in the US on 15 July.
The launch opens a new chapter in Davidoff’s history, the brand said, following the release of Cool Water over 30 years ago.
In 1988, Pierre Bourdon combined the dihydromyrcenol molecule with lavender to create a refreshing new fougère. Crafted with more than 18 natural ingredients including geranium, pink pepper and orange essential oils, the fresh-floral scent was noted for its innovation and has since become a bestselling icon.
Cool Water Intense for Him, developed by Annick Menardo, is a fresh oriental fragrance. The top note of green mandarin is followed by a heart of coconut water, and an amber accord at the base.

Cool Water Intense for Her is a floral gourmand fragrance created by Amandine Marie and Christophe Raynaud. The green and aromatic top note of mandarin gives way to a heart of mangosteen and notes of exotic paradise flowers.
The contrast of the citrusy top note of green mandarin with the fruity heart notes is “a way to bolster Cool Water’s intensity without losing the signature freshness”, the brand said. The green mandarin is handpicked in the Vale Do Caí in Brazil, as part of a sustainable sourcing partnership monitored by the perfumer creators.

The new bottle designs remain faithful to the original line – the men’s flacon features architectural lines while its female counterpart is shaped like a water drop. They come in different shades of blue: a dark blue for the men’s bottle and a deep blue lavender gradient for the women’s bottle. The box packaging for both fragrances reflects these colour patterns and displays the updated Cool Water logo.
The campaign, directed by Terence Neale and shot by Lachlan Bailey, is fronted by models Christian Hogue and Vanessa Moody.
The Cool Water Intense travel retail assortment comprises the men’s edt in 40ml, 75ml and 125ml, and the women’s edp in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml.
