The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) is marking Pride month with its first-ever virtual Pride campaign.
The #ELCProudTogether initiative will be rolled out across the company’s digital platforms throughout the month of June. It was launched in partnership with wELCome — the company’s dedicated LGBTQA Employee Resource Group (ERG) — and the Inclusion & Diversity Centre of Excellence.
“The Estée Lauder Companies is proud to support the LGBTQA community and allies alike as we continue to advance acceptance around the world and create change so that every person can experience the beauty of belonging” — The Estée Lauder Companies Senior Vice President, Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer Marilu Marshall

wELCome was founded in 2012 and has since expanded to include more than 1,000 ELC members worldwide. During the COVID-19 crisis, it has partnered with The Out Foundation and OutWOD to launch a five-week virtual fitness programme called #ELCWerkFromHome.
The #ELCProudTogether campaign encourages employees to share personal stories about what Pride month means to them, highlighting the beauty giant’s support for the LGBTQA community. To kick off the series, the company launched a video featuring wELCome leadership and ELC employees around the world collectively wishing everyone a ‘Happy Pride!’

One of The ELC’s most notable LGBTQA initiatives is MAC Cosmetics’ Viva Glam campaign, which celebrates its 26th anniversary this year. The campaign was created as a community response to support people affected by HIV/AIDS. It has raised over US$500 million to date and has also donated US$10 million for COVID-19 relief in the US.
Over the years, ELC and wELCome have supported various LGBTQA charities including Live Out Loud, Tyler Clementi Foundation, SAGE, Trevor Project and The Stonewall Inn Gives Back.
The Estée Lauder Companies Senior Vice President, Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer Marilu Marshall commented, “The celebration of Pride may look different this year, but the spirit and passion remain strong and we remain steadfast in celebrating the diversity of professionals that make up our ELC family.
