Family-owned company Ahmad Tea is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year by launching an influencer campaign, showcasing ‘The Chairman’s Promise’ Tea. The limited edition Orange Blossom Tea blend is not yet available for sale, but will be gifted to tea-loving influencers worldwide.
The Chairman’s Promise symbolises Ahmad Tea Founder Rahim Afshar’s own guarantee that he would never sell a tea he wouldn’t drink at home.
The aromatic blend was inspired by one of Afshar’s most treasured childhood memories.
He said: “The smell of orange blossom immediately takes me back to a very special place and time in my childhood. It was a glorious day with the sun shining and I was riding on a brand new tricycle through the garden.
“I can vividly remember the gentle breeze rustling through the leaves and my hair, carrying with it the most beautiful scent of orange blossom. It felt like the most perfect day to be alive, and to this day whenever I smell orange blossom, I am transported back to that perfect childhood memory.”
The Chairman’s Promise is characterised by light tones of fine Ceylon and Darjeeling teas, balanced with warm Assam and Orange Blossom to create a delicate and fragrant tea.
Ahmad Tea was founded in Hampshire, England in 1986 by Afshar and his brothers. What started as a small tea shop has now expanded to 80 countries worldwide in which Ahmad Tea is sold.
A relative newcomer to travel retail, Ahmad Tea recently announced its participation at the Virtual Travel Retail Expo 2021 – outlining big plans for the channel.
The company said, “Ahmad Tea is very much looking forward to participating in the upcoming Virtual Travel Retail Expo 2021 and being able not only to interact with customers once again, but also to support the recovery of the travel industry through this new and innovative virtual approach.
“Although we are relative newcomers to the world of travel retail, we have a wealth of experience in tea gifting and souvenirs generally. For Ahmad Tea this is a channel where we feel we will be able to really showcase our brand and invite the world in to experience our extraordinary teas in innovative & relevant formats.”
