IAAC captures Cambodia Airports advertising concession

CAMBODIA. International Airport Advertising Corporation (IAAC) has been awarded a five-year concession to manage advertising across Cambodia’s three main airports.

Operator Cambodia Airports selected IAAC to manage advertising services at Phnom Penh International, Siem Reap International and Sihanoukville International airports following a competitive tender. The three airports served more than 11 million passengers in pre-pandemic 2019.

The concession covers all on-airport advertising areas including outdoor, parking, indoor, buses and aerobridges.

IAAC – which was named Most Innovative Specialist OOH Advertising Agency at the 2021 European Enterprise Awards – has existing airport media concessions in Hungary, Malta, Cyprus and Croatia.

According to CEO Jonathan Goldsmid, the company’s objective is to roll out the unique IAAC airport advertising model for small and mid-sized airports across the world. He claimed the model “has already proven to deliver commercial results that much larger airports in the region would be envious of”.

Goldsmid said: “Over the past decade, the Asia Pacific region has rapidly become the largest air travel market in the world and despite the challenges associated with the pandemic, we commenced operations in Asia in 2021.

Jonathan Goldsmid is seeking to establish IAAC as the number one OOH agency for small and mid-sized airports

“After two extremely tough years, we are busy gearing up to help connect Cambodian and international brands with the rapidly increasing number of returning business and leisure travellers.

“Our plans include the transformation of the existing advertising programme and installation of the very latest digital technologies and spectacular spaces. These will quickly help establish the airports in Cambodia as the must have media platform for brands seeking to communicate with leisure travellers, premium high net worth individuals and the all-important business traveller market.”

He added: “We are very pleased that Cambodia Airports has placed its trust in IAAC, for the maximum benefit of passengers, advertisers and their brands. Our unique product portfolio combined with incredible profile of passengers passing through Cambodia airports will firmly place Cambodia Airports on the map for unique brand exposure.”

Cambodia Airports Chief Commerical Officer Stephen King said: “Cambodia Airports is pleased to award IAAC the concession to manage advertising across its three airports. We were impressed by IAAC’s wealth of experience, professional approach and significant investment plan.

“Thanks to IAAC’s investment in innovative technologies and platforms, advertisers will have the best possible platforms to grow their brands.”

He added:“We are looking forward to customers from a wide range of industries being able to directly access the millions of passengers that travel through Cambodia’s airports in a spectacular fashion.”
