The Glenturret partners with Lalique to launch limited-edition Prowess

Introducing The Glenturret by Lalique Prowess: Honouring the craftspeople behind the single malt Scotch whisky

The Glenturret, the single malt Scotch whisky produced at Scotland’s oldest working distillery, has revealed the latest release in its Trinity series, in collaboration with French crystal specialist Lalique.

The expression is presented in a crystal decanter designed by Lalique Artistic and Creative Director Marc Laminaux and limited to only 320 pieces.

As reported, the first offering from the Trinity series, Glenturret Provenance, was revealed two years ago. Trinity celebrates the three touchstones of Provenance, Prowess and Passion that underpin the distillery’s philosophy to preserve and enrich the world of whisky making for future generations.

According to The Glenturret, Prowess takes inspiration from the many skilled hands that create the whisky at every stop of its journey to bottling, celebrating the “craft, commitment and patience required to create a whisky of such depth and richness of spirit”.

With a 43.9% ABV and natural colour, the whisky is drawn from two casks: one filled in 1987 and one filled in 1988, both bottled in December 2022 at 33 years old.

The Glenturret Master Blender Bob Dalgarno said: “Many hands touch the life of a whisky, each with a skill honed over time; true craftspeople, adding a chapter to the story as it passes them. This release is a celebration of these individuals who contribute to the process, a trophy in their honour.”

In designing the decanter, Laminaux said he was inspired by iconography of trophies celebrating success and prowess and aimed to represent the skills of Lalique’s artisan crystal makers and the craftsmanship of The Glenturret’s whisky-making team.
