FINLAND. Finavia has unveiled a range of new retail outlets in an upgraded zone housing gates 27-30 at Helsinki Airport. These include Finnish brands Balmuir and Marimekko, as well as international labels.
Balmuir is a lifestyle brand offering apparel, accessories and home interior products, while design house Marimekko is famous for its colourful array of fashion items and home collections.
Luxury jewellery and watch retailer Lindroos has opened its new outlet in the main shopping concourse, alongside a new Collection sunglasses store.
Also opening soon is an Iittala shop, which features Finnish designer homewares.
They join the growing list of new shops at the airport, including AERA Woman and AERA Man, WHSmith kiosks, R-kioski and FOREX currency exchange, which opened last year.
The main Dufry-operated duty free shop was unveiled in December 2022, featuring a selection of Finnish and international brands.
Adding to the F&B options at the airport is a new café concept, Kaffet, which is located in front of the duty free store and the Aspire Lounge, offering a view of the runway. The café’s buns and snacks are made at the airport.
Finavia previously announced that it is investing in a new food court in the gate area with F&B service provider SSP Finland.
The food court is expected to be completed in March with six new brands. ✈
