Video of the Day: Diageo Global Travel highlights Johnnie Walker luxury store at Heathrow Airport

UK. Today’s video choice is courtesy of Diageo Global Travel after the company revealed an immersive luxury installation for Johnnie Walker in the World Duty Free (Dufry) store at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 2.

As reported, the new permanent shop-in-shop features a combination of in-store and digital retail elements offering shoppers an engaging experience.

The opening marks the first step towards the global airport roll-out of the concept, which aims to bring to life the best-selling Scotch whisky’s full portfolio.

Among the highlights of the new store include a touchscreen LED display which enables travellers to watch and listen to the story of the brand.

As shown in the 15-second video, the store also showcases the Johnnie Walker Blue Label on a luxury wall bay, as well as other whiskies from the brand.

The striking retail space also features a gifting station offering gift wrapping and personalised luggage tags.

In a social media post, Diageo Global Travel Managing Director Andrew Cowan noted: “Delighted to share this short video of our newest Johnnie Walker Blue experience in Heathrow Terminal 2. Bringing an icon to life in a more engaging and immersive shop for consumers to enjoy.” ✈
