Our regular feature celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns related to the global aviation and travel retail sphere.
VIETNAM. Today’s images, brought to you in association with Strange Nature gin from New Zealand, capture the joyous scenes from last Friday (14 July) as Southern Airports Services Joint Stock Company (SASCO) celebrated its 30th anniversary in Ho Chi Minh City.
SASCO provides a wide array of consumer services at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, including duty free and specialist retail, business lounges, food & beverage, travel and transporation services, advertising service, sleep services and spas.
Publicly listed SASCO is majority owned by Airports Corporation of Vietnam and companies related to SASCO Chairman Johnathan Hanh Nguyen, Founder & Chairman of Imex Pan Pacific (IPP) Group, Vietnam’s leading travel retail player (among its extensive other interests).
The spectacular evening included a powerful speech from Nguyen (we will bring you the full content in a follow-up soon), the cutting of a giant cake and music performances ranging from rock to classical.
SASCO said: “30 years marks a memorable milestone for the journey from the first brick to the leading brand of non-aviation services in Vietnam.
“SASCO would like to express its gratitude to the mManagement authorities, shareholders, partners, customers and all SASCO personnel who have accompanied us on this miraculous journey of sustainable development.
“The symphony of hope, determination, faith and unity resounds, and a new journey begins. SASCO will continue the vision with many new aspirations, firmly creating the future along new paths.” ✈
