The Shilla Duty Free and other top retailers join Alipay+ Premier Partner Program

Aside from providing payment services solutions, the new programme enables merchant partners to increase their marketing capabilities and draw more tourist traffic

ASIA PACIFIC. Cross-border mobile payments leader and marketing solutions leader Alipay+ has rolled out a new Premier Partner Program, a service that provides enhanced resources for global merchants. The programme represents a major innovation in destination-focused, mobile native marketing and mobile payment operations.

The Shilla Duty Free and Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Store are among 30 retailers that have already teamed up with Alipay+ for the project.

Alipay+ parent company Ant Group said that the new digital solution enhances the efficacy of cross-border marketing by empowering global merchants with adaptive digital operational tools.

These include adaptive digital operational tools such as D-store, which is an integrated one-stop solution that offers a suite of tool kits to help digitalise merchants’ businesses, operations and marketing. It also offers online and offline cross-border campaigns with Alipay+’s partner e-wallets.

The Premier Partner Program connects merchants with multiple e-wallets and payment methods from different countries and regions. It is used by more than 1 billion consumers, allowing them to shop using their preferred payment method and enjoy localised marketing offers while travelling in a different country.

The programme features exclusive commercial offers, competitive exchange rates and more flexible payment options for travellers.

It is supported by an expanding range of partner e-wallets including Alipay, AlipayHK (Hong Kong SAR, China), GCash (Philippines), Kakao Pay (South Korea), TrueMoney (Thailand) and Touch N Go eWallet (Malaysia).

Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Stores General Manager Shigeru Nagai said: “This programme can pave the way for many possibilities in the future.
