SWITZERLAND. Swiss writing instrument brand Caran d’Ache has revealed its limited-edition collection in collaboration with Keith Haring Studio. The collection is now available in key travel retail locations.
The launch is supported by a pop-up at Geneva Airport in partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail. The activation started on 31 October and is running until 1 December.
The collection is a homage to the late American artist, who became famous for his graffiti-inspired art in the 1980s. Haring was notable for his chalk drawings on blacked-out advertising panels on subway platforms.
The latest offering by the Swiss writing instrument brand includes six products that promote the key message: ‘art for all’ – a philosophy shared by Haring and Caran d’Ache.
The main highlight of this collection is one of Haring’s most popular drawings: two figures carrying a red heart in their outstretched hands. This illustration is featured on each of the product’s boxes.
Caran D’ache + Keith Haring: Writing Instruments
The latest Caran d’Ache writing instrument range comprises three new designs of its most popular pens, including its Ecridor pen. This luxury palladium pen is engraved with one of Haring’s famous artworks.
Another product in this collection is the brand’s 849 ballpoint pen, which features two new designs: a white satin finish, with the heart carried by two figures; and another in matte black, which incorporates another of Haring’s best-known motifs.
The line also includes a notebook with a specially designed cover bearing the artist’s famous drawings.
Caran D’ache + Keith Haring: Colour Collection
The special-edition collection also includes two original sets of colouring materials: a portable assortment of ten colour pencils and a black fibre-tipped pen, and a mixed set comprising 40 colour pencils and 42 Neocolor II wax pastels.

To complete the collection, Caran d’Ache has created a colouring pad containing 20 essential works by Haring.
The collection is now available in all Caran d’Ache counters and stores.
