USA. Food & beverage concessionaire Jersey Mike’s Subs has raised over US$25 million to help more than 200 local charities during the company’s 14th Annual Month of Giving in March.
As reported, the submarine sandwich chain’s Day of Giving sees over 2,700 Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants across the US (including airport outlets) donate 100% of sales – not just the profit – to the charities. The full list of charities can be accessed here.
Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems Senior Vice President, and daughter of Founder Peter Cancro, Caroline Jones said: “It’s incredibly heart-warming to see our customers rally to support their local charities by showing up to buy subs. Day of Giving is our busiest day, and we look forward to it all year. Thank you to our customers, franchise owners, team members and charity partners for making a difference.”
Since the Month of Giving began in 2011, Jersey Mike’s has raised over US$110,000 million (including its latest efforts) for local charities.
US actor and comedian Danny DeVito has supported Jersey Mike’s efforts and features in the sandwich chain’s latest commercial shown below. ✈
